Two new gift ideas for your loved ones

What better gift could you give your loved ones than potent tools to help them understand and improve their emotional well-being? We have two new tools to recommend for the holiday season:

First, as a very inexpensive gift for parents of young children, we recommend the picture book, Finding Your Stars, by the award winning 🇨🇦 Canadian writer, Carolyn Morris. It distills in simple transformative words and images one of the most important psychological principles children (and adults!) need to learn.

I find it fascinating that such a simple book can be so relevant to something very complex, such as dealing with mental perturbance, which I'm sure most of us experienced due to the pandemic.

Second, for readers interested in extensively understanding 'emotions', we recommend Demystifying Emotions by Belgian psychologist Dr. Agnes Moors. Published by Cambridge University Press, this book helps the reader think broadly and differently about "emotions". Dr. Moors' framework is largely compatible with the design-oriented framework developed by Prof. Aaron Sloman and myself.

Of course, Hookmark can be used to connect information about emotion and other topics.

Hookmark around the web

We'd like to draw your attention to some useful blog posts about Hookmark, published recently around the web:
